Choirs - Tampa Bay Children's Chorus

The Cantate Choir is the beginning choir for new singers in third through sixth grades. The focus of the Cantate Choir is vocal development, basic musical skills and beginning solfege. The director of the choir is Andrew Rafalski.

Cantate Choir members participate in our Holiday and Spring Concerts, short concerts at local venues and special concerts for local events. The Cantate Choir has participated in such events as the Gasparilla Parade, been featured on the Shana Banana TV show, and the Relay for Life.

Thursday's from 6pm to 7pm

The Concert Choir is the intermediate level choir for singers in fifth grade and up. New singers who are older also start in this choir. All singers for the Concert Choir must audition for proper placement. The focus of the Concert Choir is development of choral skills, intermediate musicianship skills and core repetoire. The director of the Concert Choir is Julie Brumback.

They participate in the Holiday and Spring Concerts, most other concerts and events either local or out-of-town and are allowed to go on the summer tour if they meet all eligilbility requirements.

Concert Choir members are also invited to start each season with an overnight retreat at DaySpring where they can relax, meet the other singers and have fun.

The Chamber Choir includes advanced level singers who are selected by audition from promising Concert Choir members and talented new singers with past choral experience. The focus of the Chamber choir is advanced choral skills, advanced muscianship, core repetoire and advanced repetoire.

They participate in the Holiday and Spring Concerts, most other concerts and events either local or out-of-town and are the summer tour if they meet all eligilbility requirements. They Chamber Choir also participates in special performances througout the area.

Chamber Choir members are also invited to start each season with an overnight retreat at DaySpring where they can relax, meet the other singers and have fun.
